To Provide
delegates with the necessary knowledge, awareness and
understanding to enable them to manage health and safety
on site in accordance With current legislation. To develop
an understanding of their responsibilities and accountability
for site health, safety and welfare, and to recognise
that a safe site is efficient, economical and productive. |

- Health & safety systems

- Health & Safety at Work
Act 1974
- The Management of Health &
Safety at Work Regs 1999
- Pre course exercise
- Health & safety and the
manager implementing health & safety legislation
- The Construction (Health,
Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1996
- The Working Environment &
Management of subcontractors
- Health & safety management
on site including COSHH.
- Noise at work, working with
asbestos, manual Handling, etc.
- Monitoring health & safety
inspections, surveys, tours and health & safety
auditing.
- Site instructions
- Health & safety communications
and training
- Construction (Design &
Management) Regs 1994
- Underground and overhead services,
fire precautions, Confined spaces etc.
- Working at Height Regulations
2005.
- Site planning and layout,
(exercise)
- Compulsory written examination.
- Course assessment (theory
and practical).

will be given to all students who attend the course. |
Certification |
On satisfactory completion
of the course a certificate of competance will be issued
that will be valid for three years. |
